The Georgia Writer's Association names a winner and a finalist as Author of the Year in several categories each year. Congratulations to Edward Wilson, who was named finalist in the poetry category this year for his book In a Rich Country.
Congratulations to Laura Grace Weldon, author of Blackbird, who has been named Poet of the Year in Ohio, on the strength of that book! Back in the 80's, Mary Oliver won the same award. She's in good company.
